FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I can ask any question on Future/New PI Slack or Twitter. Is this session going to give me any additional value?

Future/New PI Slack, X and similar are certainly great resources to have access to for 1) getting questions answered and 2) getting examples and templates. As with any responsible use of information retrieved from social media, ask yourself what the accuracy and strength of evidence for the suggested approach is. In this training we are focused on strategic implementation of evidence-based strategies that are tailored to your needs. This is facilitated by trainers with in-depth knowledge of leadership and management tools and strategies.

I can't make the date/time. Will there be a recording?

Yes, we will record the session and share with those who signed up.

I'm very busy and worried about the time commitment.

If time is an ever-present struggle, it may be time to take a deeper look and ask yourself: Do my systems optimize my time? Or do they contribute to my struggles? If you are ready to not just treat the symptoms (e.g. say no to all things that support you while saying yes to many external requests) but the real problem, we can support you in this.

I saw that there are other GLIA-Leadership trainings. Is this one the right one for me?

We do have more intensive 6-month-long programs centered on leadership, management, and mentoring. They do not overlap with this training. We propose you start here and see whether you like it and to get to know us. If you are interested in continued work together, we are happy to discuss.
